Reiki - A lovely practice from Japan which relaxes mind and body, and increases feelings of peacefulness, balance and connected wholeness. As the mindbody relaxes, the body's innate ability to heal activates (stress suppresses that ability). Two main ways to experience Reiki: Receive it from a practitioner or take a class to offer it with yourself and others. Easy to learn. Easy to offer.
By definition, Rei (ray) ki (key) is spiritual energy. We all have spiritual energy. The system of practice of Reiki is a way to clear our energy and strength it. Reiki is a complementary approach to well-being and can be a part of an integrative system for restoring health and wellness. Reiki is preventative as it allows the mindbody to become more relaxed and move towards balance. It is also restorative and complements customary medical care.

During a Reiki session, the client remains fully clothed, minus shoes for comfort. Many sessions are done with the client lying on a massage table; however, Reiki can be done with the client sitting in a chair.
Session times vary, and commonly are one hour. Reiki is not massage in that the practitioner does not even have to touch the client's body. Often, a Reiki practitioner will offer a session with a combination of touch and no touch.
Reiki is a practice which is done for self-healing, spiritual growth, and personal development. A side benefit of a Reiki practice is to be able to offer it to someone or something else (animals love Reiki!). If you are interested in learning Reiki, Georgiana teaches all levels of Reiki as well as Animal Reiki classes and classes on the precepts and deeping understanding of techniques.
Reiki 1 is the initial class and lays the foundation for beginning the self practice, and Reiki 2 advances the student's practice. The Master Class opens the student to a life of Reiki and introduces the techniques for teaching Reiki classes.
